東日本大震災発災後に宮城県気仙沼市へ緊急支援担当として派遣。初期に気仙沼市社会福祉協議会の災害ボランティアセンターのサポートを担当するほか、市内鹿折地区での生活再建の支援計画を策定。住民協議会の意向を汲み上げ、防災集団移転（高台移転）の造成計画に反映させるため、建築家をはじめとする専門家チームの派遣・コーディネートした。

Dispatched to Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture as an emergency aid officer after the Great East Japan Earthquake. I was in charge of supporting the disaster volunteer center of the Kesennuma City Council of Social Welfare at the beginning, and was setting up a support plan for life reconstruction in the Shishiori district of the city. I formed an advisory team that included architects and town planners and sent them to Kesennuma City. After gaining the support of the residents, plans for the development of housing areas were created with their wishes in mind.
